From May 9 to 10, 2019 Microsoft " Imagine Cup " Colleges and Universities Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and Shaanxi University Hard Sci-Tech Exhibition were held at the Microsoft Innovation Center in Xixian New District. A total of 32 project teams from more than 20 universities including Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Northwest University of Technology and Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University competed in the final of the competition. The project team of "Easy Chose-Animal Vaccine Online Screening System" selected by our college won the third prize of "Science and Technology Innovation Group". This is the first time that our college has won this competition, and we are the only higher vocational college that has won this track award.

The Competition is jointly sponsored by the Provincial Higher Education Committee, the Provincial Education Department, the Provincial Science and Technology Department, the Provincial People's and Social Affairs Department, the Provincial Department of Commerce, the Provincial Bureau of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Xi 'an New District Administrative Committee and the League Provincial Committee. The Xi 'an New District Fengxi New Town Administrative Committee and Fengxi New Town Development and Construction (Group) Co., Ltd. are jointly organized and implemented by Shaanxi Microsoft Innovation Center.

Microsoft imagine cup is divided into two racetracks, and the main events are divided into two groups: scientific and technological innovation group and application entrepreneurship group. In 2019, special events with big data, artificial intelligence, block chain, AR/VR and youth innovation group as the main contents have been added. The main track team consists of no more than 3 players and 1 instructor. The team members are not restricted by nationality, region, school and specialty. The number of years of graduation from ordinary colleges and universities for the participants shall not exceed 5 years, including at least one college student. At the same time, the competition is open for enrollment for university and social projects. The competition period is from October 2018 to May 2019. The competition is divided into four stages: the preliminary competition, the semi-competition, the final competition and the award ceremony. The preliminary competition and the semi-competition are submitted online, and the final competition is conducted in the form of live competition.
