As the Spring Festival approached, on January 22, leaders from the International , the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, and the Department of Tourism and Management visited the international student apartment to see and console international students who stayed on campus during the winter vacation. Teachers from the Department of Construction Engineering and international student counselors also joined the condolence visit.

In the international students' dormitories, teachers had cordial conversations with the students. They learned in detail about the students' study, life and vacation plans during the holiday, talked about the traditions and cultural customs of the "Xiaonian" (Preliminary Eve) in China, and reminded the students to pay attention to safety, focus on their studies and life during the winter vacation. They also encouraged the students to keep striving in the new year, achieve more results, and act as messengers of friendship between China and other countries. Meanwhile, the teachers presented the students with Spring Festival gifts such as Chinese knots, cultural and creative paper-cuttings, and orchid flowers.

The international students all said that the school's care and help made them feel the warmth of home during the holiday. They stated that they would live up to the school's expectations and trust, study hard, make positive progress, and contribute their youth and wisdom to spreading Chinese culture and enhancing international friendship.
