On December 22 the 9th " FLTRP Cup" National English Writing Contest for Higher Vocational Colleges was held in Beijing under the guidance of the Steering Committee of Foreign Language Teaching in Vocational Colleges of the Ministry of Education and sponsored by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press.  Ling Tongjia, a student of the Department of Information Technology of our college won the first prize in the Public English Group, ranking first, winning the honor for our college.   

 The contest was attended by nearly 2,000 contestants from more than 800 higher vocational colleges in 28 divisions across the country.  After fierce competition, 180 contestants advanced to the national finals.  Finally, after the final jury review, the public English team selected 10 people for the first prize, 30 people for the second prize and 76 people for the third prize.  The English major group selected 5 first prize winners, 15 second prize winners and 38 third prize winners.
