On March 17, 2017 students from Yushu class of Yangling Vocational and Technical College wrote a letter to Minister of Water Resources Chen Lei expressing their gratitude and reporting on their study and life. On April 17, students received a reply from Chen Lei. On the evening of April 18, the Yushu class of Yangling Vocational and Technical College held a theme class meeting to learn the reply from Minister of Water Resources Chen Lei to Yushu Water Resources Order Class.
In the letter, Chen Lei was pleased with the students' report. " I am very pleased to learn that the students are vigorous, full of ideals, diligent, studious and united in school," he said. He also encouraged the students: " I hope you get to know the status and role of Yushu Water Conservancy very well and deeply understand your mission of study, take the initiative to shoulder the expectation of their hometown, cherish youth time, sharpen your moral character, study hard, develop in an all-round way, strive to master knowledge and skills, repay society with your youth dreams and excellent studies, and become useful talents and talents for building a great motherland and a beautiful Yushu."
The students were moved by Chen Lei's heartfelt care. Four student representatives spoke on the theme of " cherishing youth, strengthening moral character, studying hard and rewarding the motherland", expressing not only their gratitude to the Ministry of Water Resources, but also their resolution to study harder and live up to the expectations of the Ministry of Water Resources, Yushu Prefecture, colleges and their families.
